Key Passage: But one of the elders said to me, “Do not weep. Behold, the Lion [Reigning King - 2nd Coming] of the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has prevailed to open the scroll and to loose its seven seals.” And I looked, and behold, in the midst of the throne and of the four living creatures, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb [Suffering Servant - 1st Coming] as though it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent out into all the earth. – Revelation 5:5-6 (NKJV)
Then God said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness; let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, over the birds of the air, and over the cattle, over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them. Genesis 1:26-27 (NKJV)
This is the book (the written record, the history) of the generations of the offspring of Adam. When God created man, He made him in the likeness of God. He created them male and female and blessed them and named them [both] Adam [Man] at the time they were created. Genesis 5:1-2 (Amplified)
1. REMODEL after the Messiah’s MODEL
And Adam said: “This is now bone of my bones? And flesh of my flesh;?She shall be called Woman,?because she was taken out of Man.” Therefore a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and they shall become one flesh. Genesis 2:23-24 (NKJV)
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ [Messiah] also loved the church and gave Himself for her, 26 that He might sanctify and cleanse her with the washing of water by the word, 27 that He might present her to Himself a glorious church, not having spot or wrinkle or any such thing, but that she should be holy and without blemish. 28 So husbands ought to love their own wives as their own bodies; he who loves his wife loves himself. 29 For no one ever hated his own flesh, but nourishes and cherishes it, just as the Lord does the church. 30 For we are members of His body, of His flesh and of His bones. “For this reason a man shall leave his father and mother and be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh.” 32 This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ [Messiah] and the church [Messiah’s Bride]. Ephesians 5:25-32 (NKJV)
2. ADMIT it and QUIT it
If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. - 1 John 1:9 (NKJV)
Who Himself (Jesus) bore our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, having died to sins, might live for righteousness—by whose stripes we were healed. - 1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV)
And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up. And if he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Confess your trespasses to one another, and pray for one another, that you may be healed. The effective, fervent prayer of a righteous man avails much. - James 5:15-16
Wives, likewise, be submissive to your own husbands, that even if some do not obey the word, they, without a word, may be won by the conduct of their wives….. 7 Husbands, likewise, dwell with them with understanding, giving honor to the wife, as to the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may not be hindered.
3. RESET and RESTART
45 And so it is written, “The first man Adam became a living being [soul].” The last Adam became a life-giving spirit. 46 However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual. 47 The first man was of the earth, made of dust; the second Man is the Lord from heaven. 48 As was the man of dust, so also are those who are made of dust; and as is the heavenly Man, so also are those who are heavenly. 49 And as we have borne the image of the man of dust, we shall also bear the image of the heavenly Man. - 1 Cor. 15:45-49 (NKJV)
Job 31:1?“I have made “If my heart has been enticed by a woman, or if I have lurked at my neighbor’s door, 9 “If my heart has been enticed by a woman, or if I have lurked at my neighbor’s door,10 Then let my wife grind for another,?and let others bow down over her. 11 For that would be wickedness;?Yes, it would be iniquity deserving of judgment.
12 For that would be a fire that consumes to destruction, and would root out all my increase, a covenant with my eyes;?Why then should I look upon a young woman? 33 If I have covered my transgressions as Adam, by hiding my iniquity in my bosom, - Job 31:1,9-12, 33 (NKJV)
